Hi there, I just recently bought the latest Huawei d16 model 2024.
Processor i9 13900H
RAM 16G
Graphic Card: Intel iRIS
I have included SSU Report along with the Intel Driver Report - ( HTML format ) but I had to zip it.
How can I enable Directx 12 ?
Thank you

Hello Nordland,
Thank you for posting in our communities.
Based on my research, only Arc Graphics has the features of Direct X12 Ultimate.
You may check out these links for reference:
- Dxdiag shows DirectX 12 Ultimate as disabled. How do I enable it?
- DirectX 12 Ultimate on Intel® ArcTM Graphics
To summarise, DirectX 12 and DirectX 12 Ultimate are different from each other. DirectX 12 is for Intel graphics such as Intel Iris, while DirectX 12 Ultimate is for Arc discrete graphics.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
Carmona A.

I have an intel i7 1355U and intel iris xe graphics and the normal directx12 is enabled in settings but in unreal engine and in fortnite it says dx12 is not supported on my system even when i force it with a command in epic games, I dont think this is epic's problem I think it has something to do with my system but it SHOULD support it from research

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am experiencing a few issues with my Lenovo computer it is up to date on everything however mine computer also only has Directx12 not Directx12 ultimate is there any way to switch to ultimate/ enable because many games now only work on ultimate which is extremely annoying since the whole reason i got this computer was to use it to play games. Is this going to be fixed in the future or am I going to have to suffer for not knowing I needed a computer with ultimate?
