Given that the Intel Arc GPUs are supposed to be available for H-series processors as per Intel’s documentation.

It seems there might be a mismatch or issue with either the documentation or the hardware configuration.
Could you please clarify:
1. Whether Intel Arc GPUs are indeed available with the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processors, or if this was an error in the documentation?

Hi JedG
After further investigation, I discovered that Intel ARC Graphics will only be fully activated in a dual-channel RAM configuration.
When my system was configured with a single-channel RAM (32GB), it operated with standard Intel HD Graphics.
However, after adding an additional RAM module to create a dual-channel setup, the system now correctly recognizes the Intel ARC Graphics.
Why is this critical information not mentioned in the documentation?

It would be beneficial for users to know that the performance and features of Intel ARC Graphics are dependent on the RAM configuration.
Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your response.

Hello Samadhan,
I appreciate your effort in providing us this information. I would like to highlight that the device you are reporting is OEM and the manufacturer might have made changes, hence why we suggested to get in touch with them.
Additionally, configuring the RAM module to dual channel setup was also mentioned on this link. It mentioned that Intel Arc GPUs are only available with systems powered with at least 16GB of system memory in a dual channel configuration.
Furthermore, we will still investigate on this concern to provide you with more information. Once we have additional information to share, we'll let you know.
Thank you so much!
Best regards,
Jed G.

Hi Samadhan,
After checking internally, we have more information to share with you.
Intel notes related to graphics type for this CPU say "Processor Graphics indicates graphics processing circuitry integrated into the processor, providing the graphics, compute, media, and display capabilities. Other Intel® Core™ Ultra processor-powered system configurations feature Intel® Graphics. Check with OEM or retailer for system configuration details. Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics only: to use the Intel® Iris® Xe brand, the system must be populated with 128-bit (dual channel) memory. Otherwise, use the Intel® UHD brand."
Meanwhile, ASUS specs site for this NUC say:
"Intel® Arc™ GPU (Core Ultra)*,
Intel® Graphics (Core3),
*Intel® Arc™ GPU requires using 2 x SO-DIMM"
If these requirements are fulfilled then correct name and functionality should be enabled.
I hope that this additional information helps. If you have further concerns, let me know so I can address it.
Best regards,
Jed G.

Hi JedG,
Thank you for sharing this additional information.
Due to the lack of clear instructions from the sellers, we were initially unaware of these specific requirements, and we couldn’t find these details in the official documentation at first.
Later we also consulted with ASUS and local dealers of Intel Core Ultra processors for ASUS NUCs. They have now updated their official website to reflect that Intel Arc graphics indeed require dual-channel memory.
ASUS also provided us with their official documentation, which confirms that Intel® Arc™ Graphics requires a dual-channel memory configuration (2 x SO-DIMM) to function. In systems using only single-channel memory, the graphics default to Intel UHD Graphics.
You can review the full details in the [ASUS NUC 14 Pro Plus Technical Specifications]
We have tested and confirmed this behavior on the ASUS NUC 14 Pro+ model (NUC14RVS-B). When using a single RAM module, the system displays Intel UHD Graphics, but with dual-channel memory, it enables Intel® Arc® Graphics.
Additionally, we came across an Intel article that addresses a similar issue with Intel Iris Graphics.
[Intel Article on Iris Graphics]
Thank you so much for your support in this matter.
Best regards,
Samadhan
