IntelGraphicsSoftware.Service 32.0.101.6325 Stopped Working

Hi all,

I've just updated my intel graphics driver to version 32.0.101.6325, it removes the Arc apps and replaced it with Intel Graphics Software. But I found this error message in the reliability report:

I have tried to do reinstall the driver using DDU method in safe mode windows, but the error still the appears.  Please advise what to do?

With version .6325, but not the previous versions, I am getting a BSOD with bug check for Driver verified DMA fault 0x000000e6 (0x0000000000000026, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000475800, 0x0000000000000005).

 

I'm using an Arc A770 that I think is defective, so take that with a little doubt, but I think this driver has issues.

Thanks for sharing this to me, to further investigate this can you share some information to me. As such I have few questions that I would like you to answer, please see the following:


  1. Are you using a desktop or laptop?
  2. Can you share a screenshot of the error?
  3. Just to confirm, have you unplugged or disconnected your system from the internet while performing DDU?


Also, to better understand your entire system information, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This will generate a text file that compiles all your system information. You can follow this link for instructions and send the text file here: Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility


Additionally, @Polymathy1 please do create a separate thread for this so we can make things organize and assist you correctly.

1. Laptop. Iam using HP Spectre x360 16" 2024 edition

2. Please find attached the screenshot + result of my SSU.

3. No internet

 

Additional info, it seems only happen during shutdown process.

The app crash every time i restart my computer.

Hello,

I am experiencing exactly the same issue that @LT7879 has reported, which began after upgrading my OS to version 24H2.

The Intel Graphics Driver (v.32.0.101.6325) and the associated control application were working perfectly in the 23H2 setup. However, the problem surfaced immediately after the OS upgrade.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far to resolve the issue:

  1. Repaired the installation through the setup – no success.
  2. Attempted a repair with the clean installation option checked – same negative result.

I am using a desktop with the following specifications:

Intel Core i7-12700K / ASUS TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4 / Kingston DDR4-3603 KF3600C17D4/8GX (4x8Gb) / Gigabyte AORUS Waterforce 240 Liquid Cooler 2x120mm / Gigabyte AORUS 850W Fully Modular 80+Plus GOLD PSU GP-AP850GM / Kingston SKC3000S512G NVMe (PCIe x4) / Samsung SSD 850 PRO 256GB / Western Digital Gold 2Tb WD2005FBYZ-01YCBB3
Windows 11 Pro Version: 24H2 Build: 26100.2605

 

Any guidance or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing this information with me. I just have a few clarifications about the issue.


  1. Can you tell me if the Intel Graphics Software is crashing, or is the entire system crashing?
  2. Does it also crash when you are using the Intel Graphics Software? If yes, can you tell me what you are doing when it crashes?
  3. Do you experience any crashing issues when playing games or using other applications?
  4. Are there any performance issues as well?


Additionally, @CCWH and @DimDim, please create separate threads for your concerns. I understand that you all have the same issue, but to keep things organized, please create separate threads.

Yes a lot. It's the reason why i have some much APPCRASH in my log. I turn off my laptop and i restarted if i needed it.

I have tried to uninstall the driver. I have removed all old drivers. Try to Reinstall it (clean installation) and i have unistalled only the Intel Graphic Software. No success.

But i have tried something else: i have installed an old driver. After that it have tried to install the new drivers. I changed the drivers versions in the Device Manager. 
I have no issue and its looks like that i have fixed the server crash issue.

I use Windows 11 24H2.

@CCWH , May I know which old version you installed? and how do you change the driver version in the device manager, and from which version to which version? I also use Windows 11 24H2.

I have installed this version in first: V32.0.101.5972 (clean install).
I have Rebooted my PC.
I have updated my Intel driver to the latest version .
I have rebooted my PC.
I change my driver version in device manager -> graphic card/arc video card then right click -> driver/update my driver/
Use list then I was able to choose two drivers the new and the old: V32.0.101.5972
I downgrade to the older. It take some minutes.
I reboot .
I use the same way and i upgrade to the latest version.

Dear @CCWH 

Thank you for the detailed steps. Really appreciate it. 

When you installed the older version, 5972, did you install all of them? including the arc driver or only the intel graphics driver because please CMIIW, the new intel graphics software only available from 6325.

Yes full install. In fact some software are not upgraded because there a no new versions.

Hi @DhannielM_Intel 

 

1. It seems only the Intel Graphics software that crashing

2. It crashed on the background. I didn't open it. It crashed when I was restarting or shutting it down. And after restart the option WHQL Certified  driver always turned off again. 

3. Not that I aware of.

4. Not that I aware of.

I see. Were you able to accomplish the same method that @CCWH did to resolve the issue? If not, since you have already updated to version 6449, could you please share the Application and System Logs from the Event Viewer so that I can further review the issue?
