My intel hd 4000 makes my pc totally freeze

My pc is freezing rarely while browsing (but it freezes daily) and always freezes while playing a game like league of legends (I play on lowest graphics and gets 60+,fps sometimes im able to play for straight 20 minutes but eventually it freezes anyways),

(Not just league of legends btw)

I tried to stress test cpu but it showed no problems, But when i try to stress test my intel hd 4000 it causes freezing after 5-20 seconds

btw all these freezes are permanent and i have to restart my pc to be able to use my pc again

Specs: Core I7-3770, Intel hd 4000 (Integrated gpu) and h61 ASRock motherboard, samsung evo 860 ssd, I experienced the problem on both windows 7 , 10 8gbRAM, no external gpu,

I have the last update of intel hd 4000 and other drivers as well

cpu temperature is good, my ssd is good

Latest available driver for your graphics (v15.33.49.5100) can be found here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29311/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-33-. Give it a try.

Also worth testing your processor using the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool (iPDT), which you can get here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool.

Your other option is to purchase an add-in graphics card.

Hope this helps,

I already have this driver i even manually installed it, I tried the diagnostic tool everything is fine as well, i know getting an external gpu would solve the problem but i can't afford it rightnow and my external gpu is supposed to work fine so i'm confused

Hangs can be caused by all sorts of issues. Bugs in the games themselves can cause havoc, especially with the graphics driver and interfaces to it (like OpenGL). Still more are caused by buggy drivers (and yes, the graphics drivers could fall into this category, especially in older versions (like yours, which isn't getting much mindset from intel anymore). Finally, some are caused by hardware failures. Most common is issues with memory. As systems age, their components all generate more noise. As noise levels increase on the memory buses, things can go awry. Once noise levels reach certain thresholds, the processor will become unable to distinguish data from noise and data errors or bus lockups can occur. This results in systems hangs, spontaneous resets, etc.

My suggestion: In the BIOS, override the automatic memory handling and set it to use the base memory profile (i.e. 1066 or 1333). This may slow your system down slightly, but, if the hangs disappear, then you will know that the system was struggling to support the higher (1600+) memory speeds due to age-related noise.

Hope this helps,

i had it on 1066 at first then changed it to 1600 experienced the freezing but it didn't really change anything maybe even slightly improved the issue so it's really not related :l
