old intel driver vs latest

im using intel iris driver 3111 which was the one released a few months after my laptop was purchased in 2022, it allows me to play days gone and other relatively modern games. fast forward to new intel arc iris xe drivers and see what a disaster it is.

You can clearly see the artifacts and screen tearing with the new driver, if this is a way to make users upgrade to arc it isnt going to work. not when i can play just using an older driver (which you make it impossible to find btw)

you should reupload all the old drivers and acknowledge your current drivers only work (i presume) for arc graphics cards and separate them again.

It took me hours to find an older driver and then i just went back to my laptops page where it was there thank god.

ive got no further comment, other users with similar problems please comment below

whats really annoying is that newer games which work are putting up messages saying you have the older driver and sending you to a download page, which is for a non functioning driver.

I'd like intel testers to run days gone on an Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7 Processor 2.4 GHz (8M Cache, up to 4.2 GHz, 4 cores) with 16GB of  ram 90hhz  refresh rate 512GB M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 4.0 Performance SSD with driver 3111 and the latest intel driver and see what happens because basically its the driver.

People will say oh you can't run games on it. . thats rubbish you can run elden ring with no problems at all.

These new drivers are clearly meant for arc not iris xe

Hi REDHAWKRIKER,

Thank you for posting in the Community!

Apologies for the delay on my response. Please make sure you provide the following basic information when reporting a bug:

  1. What is the graphics driver you are using?
  • Confirm you are using the latest WHQL graphics driver available (let us know the exact driver version you are using).
  • A clean driver installation using DDU in safe mode is recommended. Follow this link for instructions.
  • You could also test using the latest Beta driver. Our Beta drivers go through all Intel quality assurance processes and are safe to use for evaluation.
  1. Tell us the name of the game or application and where to obtain it (Steam, Epic, etc.)
  2. Provide us with the Intel SSU report from your system.
  • If you do not wish to submit the SSU report then at least provide us with the following information about your system:
    • Processor make and model.
      • Power Supply make and model.
    • Motherboard make and model.
    • Amount of memory (RAM).
    • Operating System version/build number.
  1. Tell us the steps to reproduce the issue (this is very important!).

Best regards,
