Problem with ARC v32.0.101.6557 Driver

I just wanted to let everyone know I have an ARC ASROCK A580 and ASUS ProArt X870E 9900X CPU.

I'm running Windows 11 Pro and it's fully updated to 24H2 and it has the big update that was released a few days ago, also all my drivers that are installed are official drivers from ASUS.

I was running driver v32.0.101.6449 and then decided to update to v32.0.101.6557.

When I updated to the latest driver last night Chrome took about 2 or 3 seconds to open up and when I went to use Handbrake it took 15 to 20 times longer to open,I then decided to revert back to the older v32.0.101.6449 and the problems went away.

It wasn't just Chrome taking longer to open and Handbrake every program on my PC took longer to open but Handbrake took forever to open, also some programs wouldn't even start by double clicking on the Desktop Icon.

Hi Laroldski,

Thank you for posting in the Community!

I would like to know if you have tried doing clean installation/DDU of the latest driver (32.0.101.6557/32.0.101.6262). Intel® Arc™ & Iris® Xe Graphics - Windows*

Follow the instructions here and let me know if the issue still persists:

downloaded the latest version 6557 It does not work on my system the odd thing is I have a Dell laptop with an Intel X E graphic and a usb to HDMI connector for a Asus VP278 and connected to the HDMI port in my computer directly is a Dell S2725DS when I update to the new software it does not show the HDMI display only the one connected to the USB or my internal which I disable when to monitors are connected the Dell monitor is dark as soon as I rollback the driver the Dell lights up which again is connected in the HDMI port which should be to the Intel chip please advise.    THIS Version is not functional:32.0.101.6559 Release date: February 10, 2025 Size:
907.02 MB  and .6557 as well   Also did 2 clean installs with DDU and no change

I did the clean install with the latest driver and I also used DDU and that didn't do anything,I use Handbrake a lot and I don't game with my A580 card at all so getting the latest driver for me everytime isn't really that big of a deal.

It would be nice to get this problem sorted out however,I'm running v32.101.6460 for my ARC driver it's the 2 that were released after that that do not work correctly.

I find that everything takes much longer to open especially Handbrake and it takes 30 seconds or so and Chrome takes 5 or 6 seconds to open rather then just 1 second.

@DeancR_Intel I was wondering do you know if the B580 is much faster then the A580 for video encoding,I do a lot of video encoding and my main reason for purchasing my A580 is because it doesn't need a massive power supply and it also was the fastest at video encoding at the time.

@DeancR_Intel I was wondering if you can look at this thread as well,I'm sure Intel is aware of the problem with the graphic's but they need to fix this problem if not with this gen of cards.

DDU does not change the situation. Any driver after 101.6458_101.6257 makes Handbreak unusable. It takes forever to start and hardware encoding is no longer possible. 101.6458_101.6257 was the last working version! Intel, definitely fix it!

@DeancR_Intel What are you going to looking into, the BSOD problem because I posted 2 other problems I'm having as well,I posted about the newer ARC driver's thing's to open slower such as Handbrake and Chrome and pretty much everything else.

I also posted about problems trying to install Windows 24H2 from the latest Windows ISO,incase you can't find these other 2 threads I'm going to post links to them here.

These are the other 2 thing's I'd like help with.

This problem I know most likely can't be fixed and I'll have to just use the CSM work around that I have found but it would be nice if the engineers that work on designing the cards and software were aware of this problem and could fix it in the next gen of cards at least.

Hi Laroldski,

I wanted to inform you that the issue you reported is a known problem. Solution is on the works, and I anticipate that a fix will be released very soon, hopefully within the next 1-2 driver releases.

That's great to hear I just hope that Intel get's more of the gpu's made for the B Series cards,I can't wait to get my hands on an ASROCK B580 Challenger card.

@DeancR Did you ever look at this thread if not can you please,I'm getting very tired of it just being ignored by the Mods on this forum,I understand that you guys are busy but it has been more then a few days since I made this thread and still response at all.

If you can reply to that thread and if you can also tell me if the problem will still be the same with the B Series of cards.
