Hello FurryMLG,

Thank you for sharing with us the logs. By the way, just to make sure we are on the same page, when you mention that the game is unable to render any other times other than Noon, do you mean to render a game, the time on the Prepar3D v5.3 must be noon? Please provide a short description of the issue that you are experiencing, this will enable us to correctly identify the troubleshooting steps to take. If you experience any error message in the game, please let us know as well. I will be waiting for your reply. Thank you.

I meant if I change the time to other than the default time (noon) in the startup menu, it crashes, AND if I attempt to change the time whilst I am in the simulator, it crashes. This issue also affects the weather in the startup menu

I also discovered If I attempt to change the airport through the menu, it crashes. The only way I can change the airport, time, or weather in the startup menu is if I load a scenario with a different Time, Weather, and/or Airport.

I do not experience any error messages whatsoever, the game just closes itself

Hello FurryMLG,

Thank you for patiently waiting. Upon checking with my team, we want to make sure of the error message that you are receiving. Were you able to capture it? Are you receiving error messages such as "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG"? If you haven't you may share with us the event viewer logs of your system so we can check the error that happens prior to crashing. This way we can provide the appropriate troubleshooting steps. I will be waiting for your reply. Thank you!

I have not gotten any "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" errors, nor do I get any errors.

this is what happens when I change the airport.

Hello FurryMLG,

Apologies for the long wait. We are still investigating this for you, however we do have additional questions about this issue. Upon coordinating with our team, we want to confirm the following details:

  1. Upon checking, there is the latest v6.1 patch. Would you be able to update the simulator to this version?
  2. We also noticed there are several types of this simulator ( professional, personal, etc ) , which type are you using?
  3. To help us speed up the process are there any logs or dump files that the game can generate?
  4. Would you be able to test another GPU in your system?
  5. Did the game worked Out of the box? If yes, did the issue occurred after updating to 101.5379? Please list out the drivers that are working for the game if possible.
  6. To ensure we fully comprehend the context of the screenshots you've shared, could you please offer a detailed explanation of the specific elements you'd like us to focus on? Highlighting the areas of interest or providing step-by-step insights would greatly assist us in addressing your concerns.
  7. We also noticed you had the HD 770 iGPU enabled based on the logs. Kindly please disable it in your BIOS so we can be sure that the rendering happens in Arc A770.

Rest assured this information will help us in our investigation to find an accurate resolution for you. I will be waiting for your reply.

Hello, I come here to say that I have the same problems in this simulator with both the Intel ARC770 card and my 12Gen notebook with an Iris XE 96EUs, even on the notebook the performance is very good, but this problem happens with certain lighting sources in the simulator , generally the dynamic lights, clearly a driver problem, so the version of the simulator has no relevance, as the differences in these versions are only in use, some are for professional use, others are for educational use, training, etc., these versions have no technical differences among themselves, so please the Intel engineering team to fix this problem, as the performance of the ARC770 card and even the Iris XE and Digino, however this shader problem causes the simulator to crash and even crashes,
This version of P3D runs exclusively in DX12 just like P3D V6 and in V6 it has these same problems, in P3D v4 it does not have these problems however it is in DX11 and the performance is very bad in this version.

with a Radeon RX580 GPU and a Geforce GTX 1070 we don't have these problems

Thank you and we look forward to a solution

1. The 6.1 Patch is a whole new version of the game which I have to repurchase, so v5 is as far as I'm going to get.

2. The version I'm using is professional Plus

3. Once again, no log or dump files

4. I have no other GPUs on hand, so I'm out of luck on that, however I had an old Laptop with an NVIDIA card that rendered it just fine, however wasn't as powerful, and could only run on minimal settings.

5. The issue occurred out of the box.

6. The elements I'd like you to focus on is mainly the lighting in the various cockpits, which can be activated by turning the various lighting knobs, or by pulling the parking brake lever.

7. I'll willingly disable it, however you can select GPUs in the settings of P3D, and Arc A770 is the selected GPU. Plus I have a desktop, and my Monitor is plugged into the dGPU (Arc A770)
