Should i uninstall Intel Arc Control in my ASUS laptop?

Intel Arc Control app makes my laptop lag, should I uninstall it or not?

Thank you for posting on the Intel communities.  


I am sorry to hear that you are having lag issues with Intel® Arc Control, please answer the following questions to have a better understanding:


  • Why do you think Intel® Arc Control is the one causing the lag issue?
  • Take a video of the issue with Intel® Arc Control installed and after uninstallation.
  • It is your decision if you want to keep Intel® Arc Control or uninstall it and it is possible with the following steps:


  1. Press the Windows key.
  2. Click on settings.
  3. Select Apps and then select Apps & features.
  4. Search for Intel® Arc™ Control software.
  5. Click on it and select the option to uninstall.

When I hide a window it lags, video recording doesn't lag, playing games loses a few FPS. Should I remove it as well?
My video card is Iris Xe

Thank you for your response. It has been really helpful.


Please answer the questions below to continue with the troubleshooting:


  • Does the low FPS issue happen when Intel® Arc Control is running?
  • I understand the computer does not lag when you are recording, but are you able to take a video while playing a game or running something that causes the lag issue?
  • Download, run, save and attach the report for the following tool:
