Can I access the Intel Compute Stick 2 process in an Ubuntu Docker running on a Windows 10 NuC?

Hello,

I got a quick question. We have an intel NCS2 connected to a NuC running Windows 10 which is running an Ubuntu Docker image. Is it possible to access the Neural Stick 2 processor (VPU?) inside the Ubuntu docker image?

If it's possible, how can we do so?

Thanks,

Note: I had posted this question on the processor board by mistake before.

Hello akaddoura,

For your information, if your host system is Windows 10 and above with WSL2, you can run inference inside the Docker image on CPU and iGPU (host system is required to be Windows 10 21H2 or Windows 11) targets only.

However, if your host system is Ubuntu 20.04, then running inferencing inside the docker image is available for Intel® Neural Compute Stick 2.

For more details, you can refer to the following link:

https://hub.docker.com/r/openvino/ubuntu20_runtime

Peh

Hello @akaddoura

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

We understand that you have an inquiry about Intel® Neural Compute Stick 2. We have a forum for those specific products and questions so we are moving it to the Intel® DevCloud for Edge Forum so it can get answered more quickly.

Best regards,

Hi Peh,

Thanks a lot for the answer! So we can't connect Windows to an Ubuntu Docker to run the NCS2. Hopefully that's something we can do in the future.
