Is it allowed to host floating licenses on a VM in a cloud environment and to use Questa software on VM in the cloud environment?
Our company requests us to use Microsoft Azure environment for developments.

Hi
Welcome to Intel forum. Based on my understanding, there shouldn’t be a problem using virtual machine in cloud as host for intel license server. You could refer to the User Guide below on how to host a License Server in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/documentation/uoh1478734779071.html#dmi1413209899443 - Section: Hosting a License Server in the Microsoft Azure Cloud

Thank you for your comment. By your commet, I underestand that no problem to host license server in MS Azure. Seciton 1.6 in your link seems valuable for me and I would start license server following this.
Regarding Questa, I have to use an Azure environment (a VMs) prepared by our Azure Platform support team. So, I have to download and install Questa on VM prepared by them, as the same as ordinally physical machine. Am I correct in understanding that there is no problem this, as well?

Hi
Thanks for the update and patience. We apologize for the delay in responding to your forum queries due to the person in charge is on long leave. Upon checking, Yes, you are correct. You can follow the same process to download and install Questa on the Azure VM, just as you would on a regular physical machine.
