I believe TSX is disabled using a microcode update. I was wondering if there is a way to enable that feature. I understand the security risk. I posted a detail question Here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/74765876/how-to-enable-intel-tsx-in-i7-7700-cpu?noredirect=1#comment131953664_74765876
Any direction/advice will be helpful.

The MSR 0x122 (TSX_CTRL) and MSR 0x123 (IA32_MCU_OPT_CTRL) can be used to re-enable Intel TSX on some systems for development. The Intel® Transactional Synchronization Extension (Intel® TSX) Disable Update for Selected Processor Technical Paper (PDF) provides details about the Intel TSX behavior changes due to the updated microcode (including the behavior of these MSRs).
