wifi AC8560 M.2 2230 upgrade replacement

I have a Asus ROG Stryx GL703GM laptop with an intel AC9560 wifi M,2 2230 card. I want to upgrade it to a AX200, AX210, BE200, or Killer 1650. Does anyone know if any of these will be a compatible replacement with my GL703GM. Or is there an intel forum where I can get the information?

Thanks, Matt

Matt,

Is I explained in your other query (one of the four you have created), whether any of these cards will work is dependent upon Asus' implementation of the M.2 Type E socket. While there is a miniscule chance that someone with this particular laptop has attempted this particular upgrade and also happens to be monitoring this particular (non-hardware!) support forum and thus can provide an answer to this question,

  1. You will have a far, far better chance of getting such an answer in the Asus ROG forums. As far as the Intel Community is concerned, the Wireless forum is the only good place to be asking this question (and you have). None of these other forums makes any sense at all.
  2. The replacement cards are cheap (most just ~US$20, or ~US$30 if you go for the BE200). Just go buy one and try it.

Actually, I have tried numerous times to contact someone at Asus about this. The Senior Tech division was suppose to email me an answer four days ago. And the people I have talked with have no idea on how to help me. That is why I am back to intel.

I have tried to find out as much as I can find and even have used AI to get answers. I am now down to two choices:

Intel AX210 IEEE 802.11ax Bluetooth 5.3 Tri Band Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Combo Adapter and Intel Killer BE200 1750x & BT 5.4 Wi-Fi 7 Card with M.2. pcie Key E Interface for Intel Processors Single Pack. Ultra Low Latency Ideal for Gaming., white/Green wifi cards. I have not been able to get any help from Asus about my GL703GM laptop.

I cannot get any answers from Asus. I have researched as much info about this subject but still cannot get a complete answer.  I am

looking at  Intel AX210 IEEE 802.11ax Bluetooth 5.3 Tri Band Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Combo Adapter and Intel AX210 IEEE 802.11ax Bluetooth 5.3 Tri Band Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Combo Adapter and
Intel Killer BE200 1750x & BT 5.4 Wi-Fi 7 Card with M.2. pcie Key E Interface for Intel Processors Single Pack  on Amazon.

I went to AI and it tells me either of these cards will work on my GL703GM but it also advises to contact Asus. But I get no help from Asus.  So frustrating.  The prices are like $28 and $44.00.

Thanks, Matt

I did go ahead and bought the BE200 Killer 1750x wifi card. I hope it will work with my GL703GM Asus laptop. What is frustrating is the fact that both asus and intel tells you they have escalated the question to senior tech team and I would get an email within 24 to 48 hours. But they never contact me.

I am not talking about getting answers from Asus; I am talking about getting answers from other users. Asus has a Community, just like Intel's, where you can ask other users whether any of them have tried this. You can access the forum using this link: https://rog-forum.asus.com. Setting up an account there is as simple as it is here.

I have reached out to both intel and asus communities. I get  no answers from either.

Well, try it out and see if it works; that's all you can do. One way or the other, let us know whether it works. I would also announce it in Asus' community as well, just so the information is there if someone else is looking for the answer.

Hope it works,
