Error When Creating Project in Platform Designer in Quartus Prime Pro 21.4

Hi,

I wanted to work with Cyclone 10 GX FPGA board. For that initially I installed Quartus prime pro 22.3. In addition, I installed WSL as well as Eclipse. I tried to create project and Qsys file in Platform designer. But the 'create project' is hanging, not going further (loading continues). I closed the platform designer using task manager.

To check whether this is the problem with installation or quartus version, I installed another quartus version (prime pro 21.4), without WSL and Eclipse. But then I was able to succesfully create project in Platform designer. Then, later I installed WSL and eclipse, the same problems that I encountered pops up.

I was trying to find the problem for the past week. Could someone help me to solve this issue ?

Hi Rosy,

Is there any bacnkgorund task running during the qsys creation?

Also, make sure your machine fulfill the system requirement in term of ram particularly as sometimes this migh be causing an issue.

Can you try to reinstall WSL? Below is the guide from handbook and KDB
