Hi All,
Long time ago, I used to use MAX+PLUS II, and I have just come back to it and got comfortable again with the tool; but I now need to migrate to more modern tool : Quartus Prime. I have installed the "Quartus Prime Pro 24.2" and am running it on the 30-day evaluation license at the moment. Could anyone help me understand how I can simulate my design in this tool, please?
I have compiled one of my designs that works in MAX+PLUS II version 10.23, but I am struggling to launch the simulation in Quartus Prime Pro 24.2; please, help.
Kind regards
Savvy Eagle.

Simulation is not performed directly in Quartus. You use the included QuestaSim tool. You can have Quartus generate the files you need for simulation and then it passes over to Questsim for the actual sim. All documented here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/programmable/683870/24-2/siemens-eda-questasim-simulator-support-43743.html

Does your max plus II already created a testbench for you? If no, the first thing is to make sure you have written your testbench.
