Dear Support Team,
I am reaching out to seek assistance regarding a licensing issue I am encountering with Quartus Prime 22.1 Standard Edition on WIndows 11.
After setting up the license and configuring the environment variables, including adding the license file path to the environment variable and the License Setup in Quartus, I still receive an error when attempting to run a simulation (Error: Invalid license environment. Application closing.").
This is what appears after running 'lmutil lmdiag':
-----------------------------------------------------
License file: C:\Users\aquas\Documents\Licenses\LR-196506_License.dat
-----------------------------------------------------
"intelqsimstarter" v2025.10, vendor: mgcld, expiry: 22-oct-2025
vendor_string: 1D5175C7
uncounted nodelocked license, locked to ethernet address "9408538b9707" starts: 22-oct-2024, expires: 22-oct-2025
This is the correct node for this node-locked license
-----------------------------------------------------
I have confirmed that the license path is correctly set in both the environment variables and the License Setup configuration in Quartus. However, the issue persists.
Could you please provide guidance on resolving this error, or let me know if there are additional steps required for the license to function properly?
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards,

So you have LM_LICENSE_FILE set up to point to that file?

Hi,
Please re-confirm your environment variable setup again? You need to set your LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable to point to the license that Intel provides. c:\intel\license.dat or something similar.
You can refer to link on how to set environment variable.
To make this entry, you may perform a windows Search for "System Variables" and then click on "Edit the System Environment Variables" and then click "Environment Variables". Be aware that you must add the entry in System variables, not user variables.

We recommended to use the right OS for Quartus. You can check whether your machine is supported or not (OS) by referring to ling below:
Additionally, kindly used latest Flexlm version for this.
