Quartus Simulation Waveform Editor

While using the University Program VWF feature of Quartus, I have run into an issue where when I try to highlight to select part of a waveform, it not longer selects. I can still double click to group select the waveform but that is virtually useless for doing anything other than assigning a clock signal. I have tried creating new vwf files, restarting my computer and creating a new project altogether, nothing seems to work. This problem is totally paralyzing I need to figure out how to work around it, preferably not involving reinstalling Quartus.

I am able to highlight the waveform though, using Quartus Standard 23.1 in Window 11 OS.

Which Quartus version and OS system that you are using?

There are a few things that you can troubleshoot:

1. Try restarting Quartus and your computer. This can help clear any temporary issues that may be causing the error.

2. Before you download and install the software, please check that your machine system must meet minimum Hardware and Software Requirements. Ensure that your Operating System is supported. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/programmable/683472/current/system-requirements-and-prerequisite.html

3. If you are running antivirus software, try to temporarily disable the antivirus software during the Quartus Prime software download and installation process.

4. Install the software with Administrator privileges.

5. If install using .tar, try to re-download the Quartus .tar installation package and install again. Check that the installation files .tar is not corrupted by checking the checksum.

6. Alternatively, try to download and auto install using the new Quartus installer.

7. Check your OS history update, e.g. to check if the issue happen after some specific Window update.

Any update on this?

Do you able to resolve the issue?

I would recommended to write testbench for simulation as a workaround.
