- Used the 8970 on Dell R750 and Dell R740 with Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6348 CPU
- Used a E810 NIC to ensure the PCIe is working appropriately and proved that it is working
- Tried multiple PCIe slots too
I am unsure why is this device not showing in BIOS or lspci.

Hi 5g_nic_user,
I cant really think of any other troubleshooting.
You tested 2 different servers, tried different PCIe slots and confirmed that those are working by testing a NIC card and still not showing anything in BIOS or lspci.
I would try a server BIOS update if it is possible, and I would check for any messages in dmesg that suggest that the card is seen.
Was this card working before?

Thanks for the reply. I did look at the dmesg, there is nothing there. This card was fully functional before adding it to this machine.
Thank You,

Hi Vivek Jain,
I cant really think of any other troubleshooting step that we could try at this point.
My suggestion would be to proceed with replacing the card. Please inform me if the card is still covered by warranty, and whether you require assistance with the replacement procedure.
Regards,
Ronny G

Hi Vivek Jain,
If you require any further assistance from me, please don't hesitate to ask. It seems we have exhausted our troubleshooting options, so if your card is still under warranty and you need assistance with the warranty process, just let me know, otherwise, I will be closing the internal case we created for this issue.
