Multiple Camera Positions Calibration

From this Intel Realsense video, how to calibrate multiple camera/sensors using the demonstrated technique? What library is that? https://youtu.be/VSHDyUXSNqY?t=914 The one that start at 15:13.

It seems to me that the VIVE is optional, why need it?

I have not used the techniques in Phillip's seminar myself. Looking at the calibration board section of the video though (which is just before the 15:13 time point that you quoted), it seems as though the Vive Tracker is just mounted on the calibration board for convenience so that the camera and the Tracker module can both be calibrated at the same time.

If you are only interested in calibrating multiple cameras and not the Vive Tracker module, there is a special 'OEM' version of the RealSense Dynamic Calibrator software that can calibrate multiple cameras and can also access the cameras remotely (the standard Dynamic Calibrator software available to the public does not have these features).

Intel has a calibration tool in its online Click store for $1500 USD that includes a large physical calibrator board like the one in the video and the multi-cam calibration software. The price is a reflection of how much the board costs to manufacture.

If you only want the OEM calibrator software and not the board, the software is available to Intel's Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) customers. If you are already have an Intel NDA account, you can get in touch with your Intel representative through the Zendesk support channel to ask about the software.

If you are not yet a registered NDA customer, a member of Intel's support team on this forum should be able to get you started on the registration process.

It should be emphasized though that I do not know if the OEM Dynamic Calibrator software was the software that was used for multi-cam calibration in Phillip's particular presentation. An alternative means of RealSense 400 Series multi-camera calibration that has been used by Intel themselves is the Vicalib open-source software. With Vicalib, calibration is done by showing the board to each of the cameras.
