I upgraded my development system from DG1 to Arc (DG2) and now the MPEG2 encoder is not working.
I checked OneVPL documentation to check for Arc feature list, it links the following tables:
So it still just has DG1 in the table and its not updated for Arc.
Can you confirm that MPEG2 encoder is present on Arc?

Hi.
Thanks for posting in Intel communities.
Please be informed that currently oneVPL doesn't support Arc(DG2) hardware. The documentation will be updated once the support is added.
Regarding MPEG2 encoding support, we will check with the concerned team and let you know.
Hope this addresses your queries. If so, kindly click the “Accept as Solution” button to indicate that your issue is resolved. This will also help others with a similar issue.

Hi,
Could you please try to upgrade to the latest ARC driver. 31.0.101.3959 is the latest beta driver for Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics.
According to the media-driver table, only MPEG2 decode is supported on DG2.
Please refer to the media-driver table, to find out the codecs supported on DG2: https://github.com/intel/media-driver#components-and-features
Thanks
