Windows Embedded 7 is not an officially supported operating system and there are some OS components that are required to be properly installed for some usage models. That being said, the OS does run applciations designed for regular(client) Windows operating systems, and we have heard of customers using drivers from supported platforms and successfully using graphics hardware acceleration with the Media SDK.
