Nios-II IDE

Hi,

I have a couple of questions. Firstly, I wonder whether a new version of Eclipse IDE is supported for Nios-II. I want to work on a new version of Eclipse. Currently I'm using Eclipse Mars-2 CDT 8.8.1 Release(4.5.2) and Build id: 20160218-0600 that comes with Quartus 18.1. Intel says Starting from Quartus 19.1 Manual installation is required. I really want to know Whether I can migrate to a newer version of this eclipse IDE that supports Nios-II. Could you please help me about that?

Sincerely,

Balerion

Hi Balerion,

Nios II is currently EOL and replaced with Nios V. Thefore, latest version of Eclipse working with Nios II has not been tested/supported further.

For Nios V it will be using RiscFree IDE which is free and on-going supported.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for your answers. My question mark is solved. Since, there is no further support. I'll remain using the same eclipse IDE. You can close this post.

Best Regards,
