good day to everybody

I'm trying SOPC builder application .

I open SOPC and create a "New system"

Then i open "Interface to user logic" to add my component

I click on "Add" and automatically import a vhdl file

After i click on "Read port list from files " and a table show .

In this table i can see 5 columns

-Port Name -----Width----Direction----Shared------Type

Type allow to choose different item

-Clock

-chipselect

-write

-write-n

-writedata

....

and else

But , what does they means ?

Where can i find a information about this?

I'm studying this pdf :

-Quartus 2 volume2

-Nios2 hardware development tutorial

-Nios2 hardware development software

but i didn't found informations about "type" in SOPC builder

Please i need your helps

I think the information you are looking for can be found in the Avalon Bus Specification. You can find it here: http://www.altera.com/literature/lit-manual.jsp (http://www.altera.com/literature/lit-manual.jsp) at the top of the list.

Avalon Bus Specification is a good starting point, however it is not up to date.

I think "Quartus II Handbook Volume 4 SOPC Builder" should replace it.
