13900k iccmax / powerlimit

Dear community,

I would like to OC my cpu a little.

What is the maximum iccmax corrent what i can use for "0/24"?

I know the recommended is 307A however for my own risk, how far can I deviate from this value?

The same question applies for the 253W powerlimit.

I would like to avoid fast wear and tear on my cpu but if its going to die after 10years i dont care since i wont have it that long...

Thank you in advance for your answer and have a great day = )

Intel has 2 current limits for its profile. A "Performance" limit of 307A and am "Extreme" limit of 400A. Both apply when using the default 253W power limit, which really is the limit for the 13k/14k CPU package. I have never exceeded either current limits (peaked at ~ 200A) during testing.

You can exceed the power limit if you have excellent cooling or else the bios will throttle your clock speeds to prevent exceeding the power limit. My cooling is not all that great since, before the microcode fixes, I would hit 100C temps during testing (Cinebench R23), accompanied by clock throttling to prevent CPU damage. I would hit 320W package dissipation.

Invest in excellent cooling solutions and your CPU will work fine for a long time at its originally rated speeds with lower power dissipation.

Hi,

I have a 360 AIO also i delidedd the cpu, cleaned the indium residue thoroughly and mirror polish the lid insideout. My temperatures are "crazy good" compared to the stock.

In this case can go 300W?

Thank you for your answer in advance.

Yes, you can ... but first try running CPU stress tests such as Cinebench R23 for 10 minutes or longer. Also Prime95 has been known to boil cpus. A tougher test than CB23.

Something is not right.

Iam using 1.27V with 320W limit and 400A current limit however intel xtu wrote Current/EDP limit throttling which could not be the case as 400A should be more than enough in this case.

Whats wrong here?

As long as you are using Intel Defaults, you'll ALWAYS get the Current/EDP limit throttling message. Bummer? Yes, but its what it is., unfortunately. Just ignore it as many of us do...and btw, you'll never get to use 320W, since its limited to about 253W by the default settings. Why handicap it to use only 1.27V?
