I was only made aware recently that these processors had a problem with them and luckily mine is only a month old but once i was aware i started checking temps on it and 2 cores and it is always 2 cores and they change so it can be the 5th and 18th or the 6th and 12th always run at 100 degrees whilst all others run at 60 degrees, i have applied the microcode update via the new bios and it is still exactly the same, am i going to need to replace this chip because to me it looks like the problem is not to do with the bios as that microcode update did nothing at al, kinda like cutting off someone's leg and sticking a band aid on it.

Hi CptnSpandex,
Thank you for posting in the communities!
Checking on your concern, seems like the CPU is working fine, the reason why other CPU cores are running on 100% while others are much lower, it's because the system is only needing to use these cores to finish its task.
You can check how Intel CPU cores work on this link: How Intel® Core™ Processors Work
