I7-14700FK current throttling

I am having frame drop issues and was recommended to do a stress test using Intel ETU on computer and my CPU under stress is 50C - 94C with mainly being around 80C over a 30 minute test, while having CPU being throttled every minute. It is saying Power Limit Throttling: Yes and Current/EDP Limit Throttling: Yes in the bottom right. Is this normal to have? I have tried to update BIOS with the same results of CPU being throttled when running test

Specs:

i7-14700FK

GTX 4070 SUPER TI

Motherboard PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI

Hi, Zachh1.

Thank you for posting in our Community and for providing the details. Based on the information you've shared, it's normal for a CPU to experience throttling under stress tests, but the temperatures and throttling you're seeing could indicate that your CPU is reaching its thermal or power limits, which might be causing the throttling. Throttling is a mechanism in Intel® Processors to reduce the clock speed when the temperature in the system reaches above TJ Max (or Tcase). This is to protect the processor and to indicate to the user that there is an overheating issue in their system that they need to monitor.

Would you be able to confirm your cooling setup and ambient room temperature? That will help in evaluating whether the system's thermal management is adequate.

Have a nice day!
