When using DTT, enabled in BIOS and with the latest DTT and IPF drivers from the motherboard manufacturer (Asus, of course) I am experiencing what I am calling "micro" freezes, especially at boot time (probably when loading some Windows Service) but also randomly. Basically the GUI becomes unresponsive and the mouse cursor is freezing between fractions of a second up to 2-3 seconds. The problem is more accentuated in Windows 24H2 but happens also in 23H2 to which I had downgraded for now.
I thought in the beginning that it is a Windows issue but as soon as I had disabled DTT in BIOS and uninstalled the drivers the problem disappeared.
Are there any known issues with DTT and Windows? Is it related to the Microsoft CPU scheduler that many people blame?

- What is the model of your Graphics controller?
- Did you overclock your system?
- Do you think the freezing is just Graphics related?

3. No. Absolutely not. Even if I'm not overclocking, I have a 240 mm radiator water cooler from EKWB.
4. No, absolutely not. It seems to be a driver related issue, or Windows related issue. For some reason this DTT feature is not working well with Windows. As I've specified this issue is more accentuated in Windows 11 24H2. But even after I downgraded to 23H2 it still happened. Uninstalling DTT drivers using RAPR and disabling DTT in BIOS resolved the issue completely.
My CPU is rock solid and passes any stability tests I throwed at it and I have it since April 2024. I don't even need DTT as it seems it is useful only for a few games, I just tried this feature thinking it might improve performance and make the CPU run more efficient. I am a casual gamer.
I have asked here to see if other people reported it as well. I've read on forums people speculating that Microsoft uses it's own CPU scheduler software in Windows which seems to be more buggy in 24H2 for now.

1. It is difficult for me to catch the exact moment. I will probably need to enable again DTT in BIOS and reinstall the drivers, in this case it happens more frequent. I can only describe it as for the duration of 1 second or so the system is freezing, I cannot move the mouse and it is unresponsive. I will try in the following days to catch it and upload a video.

Thank you for the update.
Upon checking the SSU, you are indeed using an NVIDIA graphics which is one of the possible cause of the micro-freeze since it is the one handling the display.
If you really suspect that the DDT is the one causing it, let me share this link that says "DTT is system software drivers configured by the system manufacturer (also known as OEM) to dynamically optimize the system for performance, battery life, and thermals."
In this case, the OEM is Asus. I suggest try contacting Asus for further checking of the issue since they have a custom configured DDT and those custom settings are unknown to us since it is an OEM system.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your analysis. A long time ago I had used only Intel motherboards which where perfect. Unfortunately Intel no longer makes motherboards. At that time Intel said that the competition is mature but it is not. Now I'm stuck with Asus. I will probably change this motherboard, I don't like their software and BIOS

I must apologize! Today I carefully checked every setting in BIOS. But I don't know what I've changed cause there have been quite a few changes, but basically I set everything to the Intel defaults. I have enabled DTT and GNA, reinstalled the drivers and so far everything is smooth. I could not reproduce these "microfreezes" anymore.

I am glad that you were able to improve the system by loading the default settings.
However if you still need assistance for this particular issue, I still recommend to try contacting your OEM manufacturer which is Asus.
