unholy power draw

hi, so was just messing around with intel's extreme turning utility when i saw the power draw at 221976023 megawatts(converted it so it was easier to type), im don't think my i9 12900ks was actually using that much power because nothing crashed or over heated but thought it was just something of concern

Hi, emerald_captain.

Thank you for posting in our Community. The power draw of 221,976,023 megawatts seems far too high for the i9-12900KS, so it’s likely a misreading or software glitch, especially since your system hasn’t overheated or crashed. Have you experienced any other irregular readings in the utility, or was this the first time? Also, is the power draw fluctuating significantly, or does it stay constant at this high value?

Do you have any overclocking settings applied, or is the processor running at stock settings? Kindly note that if the system was overclocked, including voltage/frequency beyond the processor-supported specifications, the processor warranty may be voided.

Additionally, If you've already taken any steps to resolve this issue before reaching out, please share those details with me so we can avoid repeating any unnecessary actions.

These questions will help further clarify the situation and determine if the high reading is an anomaly or something that needs attention. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Have a nice day!

hi, Von

my apologies  for not responding with honesty it had been so long i had forgot i posted this, im positive its a software glitch as it happens form time to time even if its not under load and the power draw normally is consistent when under load or when not under load and i originally posted in hopes that the glitch could be fixed since i needed to know the exact watts at the time since i was debating buying a new power supply , and i needed to increase the watts for the cpu since when i first got the cpu it was edp throttling but after adding more power it has been perfect with no problems

all the best
