DE10-Lite GPIO

Hello,

Im currently trying to figure out the DE10-Lite board, cause I'm using it for a project im working on. I need to connect an external clock source to the board, but this clock source has a voltage level of 5V. My question is can I connect the clock source to the GPIO pins or are all the pins only compatible with 3,3 LVTTL sources.

If this doesn't work ut you have other solutions, I would be happy to hear them, cause I'm new to this board.

kind regards

Hi Nils,

You can connect the clock source to the dedicated clock input pin. However, if you need to stick with 5v input voltage, you will need level shifter or else, you can change the clock source with the compatible input voltage with the I/O standard spec based on the respective I/O bank. I assume the pin that you want to connect is using 3.3 LVTT I/O standard.
