EK-10M08E144 PCB .brd file corrupted

I am working on a layout for a MAX10 (10M08SA2884 EQFP144) to implement our firmware design created on the EK-10M08E144 development board. I downloaded the dev board document installation (from https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/details/fpga/development-kits/max/10m08-evaluation-kit.html ) but I cannot open the .brd file.

The Altium importer refuses to import them, suggesting conversion to Modern Eagle v6 XML format, but Eagle will not not open the .brd file ( "Error: line 1, column 1: Start tag expected.")

Is there a reference hardware design or updated dev board layout I can use as a reference for my design, preferably compatible with (or importable to) Altium 24?

Thank you in advance,

Ed

Wrong thread title. Not corrupted, just wrong layout tool used. It's Cadence Allegro.

Aha- thank you for catching that. The Altium importer still doesn't like it- "importing files in Binary format requires Cadence Allegro on system... If Cadence Allegro is not available, please use the ASCII(*ALG) file format instead."

I tried opening in it in the Allegro free viewer and and got "ERROR(SPP_HDB181): The  current version of software is unable to open design ... The design was last saved using version 16.5 and must be updated using DB Doctor."

I will hunt around for an Allegro installation (or DB Doctor, whatever that might be); in the meantime, is the EK-10M08E144 layout available in any other file types or versions? I would love to have this as a reference; nobody wants to do another board spin because I messed up a detail.

(As for the title, you are right  it is probably not corrupted, but I am not having any luck changing the thread title)

Hi,

We only provide the PCB file the same format that you can get from the devkit page.

OK, thank you Aiman. Be aware that your board file is out of date and not accessible to recent Allegro viewer releases- please consider updating your support files.

I have found a Cadence 16.5 installation but have not been able to open the .brd file yet- I think there are still some PC/license issues at play. Thanks for your help.
