How to reduce electromagnetic noises in EPM3000/7000

Hi everybody, 

 

Good evening. 

Is anyone know how to reduce the electromagnetic noises in EPM3000/7000. We faced with situation that newer CPLD families much noisy than the old ones.  

 

Please advice.

The reason for that is most likely that the rise and fall times is much lower in newer families.

Yes, that can be expected. But doesn't solve the problem. MAX3000 and 7000 don't have programmable IO strength, so the slow-slew-rate option is the only available means besides hardware modifications to handle the issue. Output series resistors, better supply bypassing, ferrite filters are possible means.
