MAX10 power consumption

Hi

Can someone throw some light on the power requirement for MAX10 devices.

I'm planning to use 10M40DCM256 I6 device for my design.

What will be the max power consumed by max10 for Vccio=3.3V, Vcca=2.5V and Vcc=1.2V configuration. The datasheet does not specify anything on the power requirement. This is for the power supply design.

Regards

Tom

The 'requirements' depend, in no small part, on what you intend to do with the FPGA. Altera can't publish numbers because they don't know what you have planned for it.

However, the do publish spreadsheets for various families - including MAX10 - to help you. Find them on the "powerplay early power estimators (epe) and power analyzer (https://www.altera.com/support/support-resources/operation-and-testing/power/pow-powerplay.html)" page. Download the spreadsheet, fill it in (play around with it) and it'll give you a pretty good idea what to expect.

Cheers,

Alex
