MAX10M5 dev board: Which Quartus Version on 2023 ?

Hi, I'm new to this comunity.

Some time ago I have experienced with MAX V CPLDs.

I recently purchased Altera MAX 10M5 development board and I feel a little stuck cause the documentation of this kit seems to be outdated.

First of all the last available Quartus Web Edition on the web site is 13.1, but MAX 10 FPGA is not supported on this version.

I have looked for other newer versions that could be compatible on the forums, and someones mention Quartus 15 Web edition, but there is an incomprehensible jump between Quartus 13 and Quartus 17,  so there are no 14, 15 and 16 versions.

I have finally installed Quartus 21 Lite but I'm not sure if this is fully functional as Web edition . The point 10 of the instructions talks only about web edition.
I'd like to test/modify and also synthesize some litte vhdl/verilog code.

Can someone tell me if I have the rrigth version to play with my dev board ?
Otherwise which version is the closest to the missing web edition that supports MAX 10 and that can synthesize some code?

Thanks  in advance.

What used to be Quartus web version is now Quartus Lite. Just install any recent version for MAX10.

You can use Lite or Standard for MAX 10.

Hi,

As mentioned in above comment, Quartus Web has been replace with Quartus Lite. You are also free to use either Quartus Standard or Lite since both versions support MAX 10: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/programmable/support-resources/design-software/devices-support.html#intel%C2%AEmax%C2%AEseries
