Hi

I have/had a RIAD 5 array using 6 4TB disks on Windows 10 Pro.  The disks were set up as a 20T windows disk.  One disk went faulty so I shutdown, unplugged the disk and replaced with a new disk.  The storage was working fine at this point but degraded (a little slow).   I went into Intel Optane Storage management software to add the new disk.   The interface was still showing the old disk, not the new disk and there was no option to rebuild.  I rebooted and this time Optane Management showed the RAID array was no longer there.  The disks were visible but there was no RAID volume.  I did not attempt to rebuild the RAID array as I feared I would lose my data.  I rebooted again and went into the pre-OS storage config utility (CTRL-I).  All 5 disks from the RAID array say "Offline Member".

Can anyone help me recover from this?

Hi ML68,

Please consider the following steps:

1. Verify that all disks are securely connected and recognized by the BIOS.

2. Launch the Intel Optane Storage Management software.

3. If the new disk is not detected, try refreshing the interface or restarting the software.

Additionally, you can refer to our "How to Rebuild the RAID1 Volume" article, as the process should be similar for RAID5.

May I know if you're using the latest Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management application from the Microsoft Store?
