Hello Intel Support,
I am using a Server products which has two Intel Xeon Gold 6436 CPU. After booting the system up, it posted a WHEA Fatal Hardware Error message with PCIe Root Port (Device ID 347A).
The OS is Windows Server 2022.
Detailed log info in the enclosed.
I would like to check does Intel has a driver for the Device ID 347A?
Thank you.

Hi Mountainsea
Thank you for contacting Intel.
Could you please clarify whether the server encounters an error after booting and then continues to function normally, or if it remains stuck at that point? Additionally, could you provide a screenshot of the error, along with details about the server?
Please also include the debug log. Instructions on how to generate the debug log are provided below.

Hello Azeem,
Thank you for your reply.
After the system boots up, it posted these events. After this the system can continue operate normally if we do not use a PCIe card. But if we start to use a PCIe FPGA card, the system will have a crash, blue screen, and WHEA error.
Do you have an updated driver for the Device ID 347A? this seems to be PCIe root port.
Sorry, the server is located at another place, and I can only have access to it at limited times. We will try to provide your requested info.
But if you can advice about the driver for Device ID 347A, we would appreciate it.
Thank you.

Hello Intel Support,
I would like to clarify does your BMC System Debugger support servers from other brands? I am using a HPE server, it installed with two Intel Xeon Gold CPUs. Can I run the syscfg with this HPE server?
I also noted you have DeviceSetup under Win2022 driver, is it safe for me to run this DeviceSetup on a HPE server?
Thank you.

Hi Mountainsea,
Greetings for the day!
We would like to inform you that intel BMC is not tested on third party Motherboards, hence we would not be able to comment on that, we would request you to check with the Vendor for any other monitoring tool.
Also please share us the information on which tool you are using for Device setup.
Thanks for choosing intel.
Regards
Jerome

Hi Mountainsea,
Greeting for the day!
Additionally, could you please let us know if these processors came with the HPE server, or if you purchased them separately?

Hello Intel Support,
The CPU comes with HP Server.
I have one question, the CPU is Xeon Gold 6436. It has PCIe root port. Our PCIe device(FPGA card) connects to the PCIe root port directly.
I am experiencing some interim system stability issues in that, when I exercise the PCIe traffic on the PCIe bus(speed is only 1.6GB/s on a PCIe Gen3 x8 port), sometimes the system crashes.
Do I need to install any specific driver for this Xeon Gold 6436 CPU and its PCIe root complex ?
Thank you for your reply.

Hello Mountainsea,
Thank you for your reply.
We see that you have concerns regarding the FPGA product while using it in the HPE server. To ensure your query is addressed promptly, we kindly request that you post your questions in the Intel Community - FPGAs and Programmable Solutions.
Please make sure to select the appropriate sub-forum topic for your inquiry.
You can find the link for our FPGA community here : https://community.intel.com/t5/FPGA/ct-p/fpga
Also since this is an HPE server, we request you to also check this with them to see if they have a solution for this from their end.
Regards,
Sachin KS
