What does this Random Write (100% Span) mean?
Is it an error in 320 spec? Or may be you forget to fill it for DC S3700... there shouldn't be a 24000% difference in any parameter!
The information for both drives regarding the Random Write (100% Span) is correct. You may verify this from the product specifications for each model:
Intel® SSD 320 Series Product Specifications:
Intel® SSD DC S3700 Product Specifications:
Keep in mind the Intel® SSD DC S3700 is a performance drive designed for data centers.
Random Write (100% Span): Speed with which the SSD is able to record data to arbitrary locations in the memory, across the entire span of the drive. Measured in IOPS (Input/Output Operations per Second).
Hi Dwarf and Joe,
I saw this post a few days ago and the data for the 320 was incorrect at that point. I requested an update to ARK and that has been completed so the data is correct now.
Sorry for not updating this thread sooner.
