I reset my SSD to a Non-Raid Disk, how can set it back?


Reset Raid Data, how can I get it back?

I turned off my computer, took the hard drive out, and then booted the computer back up. After hitting Crtl + I in the configuration utility option, it gave me a menu in which 1. Create Raid Volume, 4. Recovery Volume Options, and 2. Delete Raid Volume are greyed out. The rest of the menu is 3. Reset to Non-Raid, 5. Accelaration Options, and 6. Exit. I pressed 3. and choose the Samsung SSD PM83 29.8GB Cache disk and set it to non raid. After I reset it I was aloud to do what I needed to do.

The reason why I did this is because my PC was unbootable and I had to grab items out of it. Only doing that would of allowed me to access set up and run a data recovery CD. I just felt I needed to give a reason why I did what I did, now I need help getting it back to the way it was or at least back to normal.



When I boot up my computer after the start up logo's and processes, it used pop up in white letters "Operating System Not Found". So I did what anyone might do, and put in my Windows installation disk and tried to install it. When it told me whether I wanted a clean install or to just upgrade, I choose a clean install. The problem with this is, when it displays my partitions it shows everything but my 1TB hard drive on the list. The 1TB drive is what I had before this entire mess, and I had well over 100 GB worth of data used on it.



I installed the CD on the SSD one and after the installation was over, I noticed that my computer only had 20GB to work with, which I knew was wrong because I have 1TB before all of this. So with that being said, if I restart my computer at the moment and access the configuration by using Ctrl + I it gives me a pop up, then the menu similar to before but there is a difference.

As you notice, it shows 931.5GB disabled and the SSD switched to Non-Raid, unlike before I reset it.



I am trying to supply you with as much information and back up story as I can so you can get a good idea of what is going on and the issues to it.



I understand that once I reset it, it deleted information but how can I re-reset it so that it is back to normal or like before I reset the drive to Non-Raid. I want to be able to insert my CD and have windows install like normal. I am just trying to dig my way out of this hole I created. I drive

Crazypete3, it looks like the system manufacturer provided the 30GB SSD in order to accelerate data access from the 1TB mechanical drive and not to be the main operating system drive.

The best recommendation is to remove the acceleration from the mechanical drive as you can see in one of the screenshots you provided. Once you do that, try to see if the computer boots from that drive. If it does not, you may need to repair or reinstall the operating system in that drive; you may want to back up your data before a clean installation.

"Operating System Not Found" could be triggered by an operating system corruption or hard drive failure; so, you probably want to check if the 1TB is detected by BIOS or Ctrl+I before you attempt to install the operating system again.

With the operating system up and running again you may set up the acceleration again but it is recommended to format or delete all the partitions from the SSD first.

We are unclear at this time about what type of acceleration your system included or if there is a hard drive failure, even though it appears detected in Ctrl+I. Therefore, we strongly suggest contacting the system manufacturer for further assistance.
