Still confused

My disk-configuration can't possibly be unusual, so I am wondering if I am stupid that doesn't understand how to upgrade the 160GB X25-M FW. Can someone look at my configuration and give me some helpful hints?

I have Windows 7 on a X25-M G2 160GB - not AHCI

Then I have two non-SSD disks in RAID (Intel Matrix Storage) for extra storage, i.e. my SSD is not in RAID.

I have heard that I have to disable my RAID even if it doesn't involve my SSD. Is that correct?

If so, at what point should I enable it again?

Are there other things to consider with this configuration?

Thanks for you answer.

My BIOS says IDE, RAID or AHCI. The readme doesn't state exactly IDE, so I don't know if it is supported. I can't use RAID, and I installed Windows 7 with IDE set before I added the last two disks setting RAID.

Should I disconnect the RAID-disks, set AHCI, do the upgrade and set RAID again? Or will that f... up my Windows7?

Or should I try the same with IDE instead of AHCI?

The motherboard is an ASUS P6T if that is of importance...
