I have a gateway MX3417. It came with Media Center OS, and when I reintalled my PC I used a copy of XP Professional instead. I managed to find all the drivers I needed except for the Wireless adapter. Gateway says its an intel adapter, however they dont have the XP drivers for it, only Vista AND they claim not to know what model of adapter it is. Does anyone know this information and/or where I can get the correct drivers for it?

You could try the sutomatically detect or identify my product here: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support you might even be able to use something like everest to geta model name.
Also you could try this driver http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19146&ProdId=2259&lang=eng it may work.
