I have noticed that the AX210 in my laptop doesn't want to auto-reconnect to 6 GHz after I hibernate/resume (I don't like suspending to RAM, so I hibernate instead).
OS is Windows 11 22H2 fully up to date with Windows updates.
I have tried both with the default MS drivers, and with the latest Intel drivers.
I can connect to 6 GHz just fine, and it stays connected for as long as I'm working (sitting pretty close to a Ubiquiti U6-Enterprise AP - 2.4/5/6 all on the same SSID).
But if I hibernate the machine, and wake it up again, it only connects to 5 GHz.
Disabling wifi and enabling it again makes it reconnect to 6 GHz.
Intel driver options are set to prefer 6 GHz, but that doesn't change anything. Neither does roaming aggressiveness.

- Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed in your system, or have you changed/installed a new adapter recently?
- Were you able to reconnect to the 6 GHz band after resuming from Hibernation in the past? If so, do you remember if there was any hardware change or driver/OS update that may have triggered the issue?
- Is this issue happening at home, office environment, or both?
- Have you configured the wireless adapter as recommended on the article https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057574.html ?

No, I replaced the adapter with an AX210.
Were you able to reconnect to the 6 GHz band after resuming from Hibernation in the past? If so, do you remember if there was any hardware change or driver/OS update that may have triggered the issue?
I don't remember if that ever worked. I don't suspend that often without changing locations anyways, so I probably would not have noticed.

I don't have 6 GHz available at the office, so I have only seen it at home.

Yes, those are (I think) the default settings. I noticed it with those settings, and then started setting preferred band and roaming aggressiveness to see if that would help.
As I said, this ONLY happens after resume-from-hibernate (I have not tried resume-from-sleep).
When it's resumed, and connected to 5 GHz, I can simply disconnect from the SSID and connect to it again, and it connects to 6 GHz.

Since you have installed the wireless adapter, please be aware of the following information, as this may cause issues with the wireless adapter:
Regulatory Information Regarding Wireless Hardware Installation or Upgrade: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005687/wireless.html
As well, please perform a clean installation of the latest wireless drivers v22.190.0 (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/windows-10-and-windows-11-wi-fi-drivers-for-intel-wireless-adapters.html).
Make sure to follow the Clean Installation Instructions: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000022173/wireless.html
If the issue persists, download the Intel® SSU https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-
Open the application and select "Everything", click on "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel® SSU will take you to the "Summary View". Click on the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View". To save your scan, click on "Next", then "Save". Please attach the file to your reply.

As I said, 6 GHz works fine - just not after resuming.
