I know this is a common problem for Dell and there are many related discussions. However, those seem not to work for me.
Issue: I recently bought Dell precision 5690. It came with Ubuntu 24.04 and the wifi was working. But for a specific package, I needed to install Ubuntu 20.04. Once I setup 20.04, wifi is no longer working. It says "No Wi-Fi Adapter Found". Afterwards, I tried with Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04, all have the same issue.
Typing "lspci" provides: "Network Controller: Intel Corporation Device 272b (rev 1a)" and "Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device 40f0". But no exact device name is printed.
From BIOS setup, I tried disabling WLAN and then restarting and Enabling again, and so on. It does not work.
Important: Dell precision 5690 does not have port through which Ethernet cable can be connected. Moreover, Bluetooth device is also not working.
Question: How can I resolve this without using Ethernet (and wifi not working).
