Hello Support Team,
I want to raise an issue of Intel WiFi 7 NIC model BE200, which already with the latest driver version 23.100.0.4, OS: windows 11 24H2.
I have an enterprise WiFi 7 access point and configure the MLO SSID for WiFi7 clients' connection.
The MLO SSID is configured with Tri-band - 2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz.
My BE200 always only use 2 of the 3 bands to connect to the MLO SSID, never launch Tri-Band connection. (Capture the wireless packet of the rest band which not connect, and check that the BE200 even not send the associate request wireless frame to the Access point)
P.S. I have tried several driver versions, totally not work, either.
Please kindly help to tell if this is the driver design (maybe considering power-saving, avoid NIC operates in a high temperature? ) or hardware limitation that at most uses 2 bands to connect in MLO SSID association? or this is a driver bug...?

I’ve attached the information you requested in this comment.
However, I believe the problem may not be related to the OS or my laptop model, so the attached SSU result may not significantly assist in diagnosing this case.
Additionally, I think it should be possible to fully reproduce the symptom in your local lab by connecting to any WiFi 7 access point.
If possible, I would also appreciate it if you could consult the developer RD team to provide details about how the Intel wireless card MLO works. Specifically, I’m interested in understanding why tri-band functionality is not supported, as per my inquiry.

I replaced the onboard M.2 wireless NIC with the Intel BE200 and upgraded it to the latest driver version, which was already mentioned in the original post.
Therefore, the laptop model itself is clearly not the issue. As I previously stated, "I do not think the result of SSU provides any useful information."
Furthermore, as noted in my original post, I am able to connect to the MLO SSID broadcast by the Wi-Fi 7 enterprise access point using two bands, it can be 2.4GHz + 5GHz , it can be 5GHz + 6GHz, it can also be 2.4GHz + 6GHz, but never link to tri-band at same time, this is what I reached out Intel here, for provement, please refer to the screenshot below for reference to explain my device with the MLO capability.
It is frustrating that the problem is being attributed to the installed model after your investigation.
As I mentioned before, this symptom should be reproducible 100% of the time. Simply connect to any Wi-Fi 7 AP configured with a tri-band SSID, and the issue should appear. Have you performed this test?

Regarding Wi-Fi 7, all Intel® Wi-Fi 7 products support the 6GHz band, but its usage is reliant on Windows 11 OS support. I suggest contacting the OEM directly for further confirmation and to ensure all components are set up for optimal performance.

First of all, my BE200, my Windows version, and my country all support 6GHz. I have clearly stated that I can connect using MLO with 2.4GHz + 6GHz or 5GHz + 6GHz, and I have provided supporting evidence in the form of screenshots showing the MLO link connection.
Thus, I do not understand or accept the conclusion ask me to contacting the OEM vendor. On what basis was it determined?
Have you actually reviewed the information and screenshot I provided?
If you really did, are you mean that MLO could is possible to be partially supported???
Additionally, I have repeatedly requested that you reproduce the symptom on your side, You can use a device you deem as "fully supported" to verify if the BE200 can establish a tri-band connection with a "fullt supported WiFi 7" AP. However, you have never offered response or evidence of testing this yourself.
Instead, you ignored, did nothing then blamed on the customer's device, provide useless investigation result, shift the responsibility again and again.
The original purpose I created the post here is only to get the reason why BE200 cannot launch a TRI-BAND MLO connection to the WiFi 7 AP, I suspect this might due to some reason, I never ask you to make it connect with TRI-BAND, resolve this issue.
In the end, I get nothing from Intel support.
The lack of acknowledgment or testing on your side is both disappointing and unacceptable.
