I have an older wireless card (Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection) in my Precision M90 Dell Laptop (XP Pro) that will see newer wifi networks but will no connect - it either searches forever or says that requested network is not available. I tried to down load Intels updated driver but is says not compatible with older device. ANY IDEAS? Can it just plug in a USB apdaptor or or download a fix or do I have to replace my card? Thanks, Ed

Ed,

You can download current software for your adapter at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19851&lang=eng http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19851&lang=eng.

I would recommend completely uninstalling your current software before you install the new software. Links to uninstall/install instructions can be found at http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-010623.htm http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-010623.htm.
