Installation of 2023.x with icl.exe for simulink coder r2024a

Hello,

For simulink coder r2023a I am looking for an installation of OneAPI 2023. I realise from other posts that older versions of OneAPI are no longer supported, and that to have them I need active Intel Priority Support, which doesn't seem like an option at this time.

I have an old offline installer for intel OneAPI 2023.1 which happily installs. However, Matlab is looking for icl.exe when setting up the "mex - setup" with the following call:

<cmdReturns name ="echo off & (for /f %a IN ('dir "$$\compiler\2023*" /b /ad /on') do (@if exist "$$\compiler\%a\windows\bin\intel64\icl.exe" set "oneapiVer=%a")) & (@if defined oneapiVer call echo %oneapiVer%)"/>

icl.exe should then be found in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\oneAPI\compiler\2023.1\compiler\windows\bin\intel64\

but i only seem to have icx.exe one directory above.

Forcing the command from the Matlab .xml above to look for the icx.exe makes the mex -setup command happy, but the build falls over down the line.

Any help on setting up either the 2023 install or Matlab setup to point to the correct files will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

...

I am on a Windows 10 machine.

Hi Mikael, Intel® oneAPI Toolkit Version: 2023 is an older and unsupported version. Please note that Intel® has decided that Intel HPC and Base Toolkits 2024.2.1 and earlier are not supported anymore. We urge users to upgrade to the latest version of Intel® developer tools. The unsupported versions do not include the latest functional and security updates. These versions are targeted to be removed after a period. We understand that this might be challenging, but it's important to note that the users with active priority support can only access older product versions.

For more information refer to the link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/release-notes/oneapi-supported-product-versions.htm, and scroll down to the Unsupported Product Version.

Intel® oneAPI users with active Intel Priority Support can access older versions via a secure portal you gain access to as part of your support subscription.
