Licensing question for Intel® Parallel Studio XE Professional Edition for Fortran and C++ Windows*.

Back in April of 2020, we procured two Intel Fortran licenses for two of our employees.

One of those employees will be getting a new pc to replace his current system. When we tried to install the software on his new PC and use the license key assigned, our technician received the following error message:

We need to know how can we transfer the software from his old system to the new system. Do we need to uninstall the software from the old system first? Or do we need to get a new license key?

We also wanted to know if we can use Visual Studio Pro 2022 to run this version of Fortran?

Thank you.

Hi Josh, please know that the Intel® Parallel Studio XE 2020 is an older and unsupported product. Please also note that Intel® has decided that Intel Parallel Studio XE, All Editions, All Versions are not supported anymore. We urge users to upgrade to the latest version of Intel® developer tools. The unsupported versions do not include the latest functional and security updates. These versions are targeted to be removed after a period. We understand that this might be challenging, but it's important to note that the users with active priority support can only access older product versions.

For more information refer to the link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/release-notes/oneapi-supported-product-versions.htm, and scroll down to the Unsupported Product Version.

Intel® oneAPI users with active Intel Priority Support can access older versions via a secure portal you gain access to as part of your support subscription.
