Hi genius world
I'm a senior Electrical Engenier and would like to work on altera Quartus II of course, I do have a Quartus II software: please how can I've a quick start:does this software need also same programming language like C, jave, C++ ...? any help will be thankful. Regards.Link Copied

Most people use Verilog or VHDL for Quartus hardware design, C/C++ for software that runs on the Nios processor. There are other posts about this on the forum.
If you have the installation DVD, the first screen that pops up has a link to Quartus video demos. http://www.altera.com/support/software/sof-quartus.html has a link to video demos, an introduction-to-Quartus manual, design examples, etc. I haven't viewed the demos and don't know how helpful they are.- Mark as New

Another starting point to get an idea of Quartus is the Tutorial. At least in version 6.1 you can find it under "Help"->"Tutorial". It doesn't explain everything in detail, but it's not bad for the beginning.
