We are very interested to understand how FEC is configured on these adapters as we think this is causing issues on
our Cisco ACI switches. We have downloaded the latest Intel esxcli plugin for managing Intel Ethernet Network adapters. When we run esxcli intnet fec list we get nothing back even though we know the server has two dual port xxv710 adapters installed in the host
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello SOBri4,
We apologize for the delay on this matter.
After checking the provided PBA number of the adapter, we have confirmed that this is a Dell Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) version of Intel Ethernet adapter. For OEM version, it would be best if you can get in touch with Dell for further support since they have customized drivers and software to enable or alter features on your system. They are in best position where you can seek assistance so you don’t lose features or customizations of the adapter. Please visit this link for the List of Supported Retail Intel® Ethernet Adapters.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005612/network-and-io/ethernet-products.html
We have also managed to visit Dell website and found out that this is known issue in ESXi 6.5 which is fixed in ESXi 6.7 You may visit the link below for more information regarding this issue.
"This is a known issue in ESXi 6.5.x which is fixed in ESXi 6.7.
In ESXi 6.5.x, use the localcli command instead of esxcli."

We would suggest to search for FEC XXV710 on the Dell Support pages as these are DELL adapters. https://www.dell.com/support/search/gh/en/ghbsdt1#q=FEC%20XXV710&sort=relevancy&f:langFacet=[en]
We hope that you will be able to reach Dell support for further assistance. Let us know if there is any other assistance needed from Intel Ethernet team.
We look forward to your reply.
