Is AMT/VPRO SOL compatible to IPMI SOL

Hi

Could someone please tell me if the AMT Vpro SOL is the same protocol as IPMI? Or is it an equivalent functionality but with a different protocol?

The vPro SOL uses a proprietary protocol so no, they are not interchangeable.  You can read more about the Intel AMT SOL/IDER interface in the on-line documentation for the Intel AMT SDK:  http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-active-management-technology-intel-amt-software-development-kit-sdk-documentation/
