Hi,
I have installed Quartus 13.1 on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. While trying to perform functional simulation in modelsim I encountered an error unable to checkout a license. vsim is closing. ** fatal: invalid license environment. application closing. unable to checkout a license. make sure your license file environment variables are set correctly and then run 'lmutil lmdiag' to diagnose the problem. modelsim-altera uses the following environment variables to check the licenses (listed in the order of preference) 1. mgls_license_file 2. lm_license_file.I looked around for a solution and found this link http://www.altera.com/support/kdb/solutions/rd06272006_61.html. I downloaded the file specified for Windows 7 from here https://www.altera.com/download/licensing/daemons/dnl-lic_daemons.jsp and the contents of the extracted folder at some exe files like lmtools, lmutils etc. I could not find a .dat file anywhere. I also tried the option "web license update" but it says not able to connect to internet. Can anybody help me regarding this issue? Thanks
