after changing the baud rate, i cannot see the cf

Dear : 

i want to change the uart1's baud rate (altera cyclone board,default:115200. i want 9600), after i changed it, and download to the board . but when i start the uclinux , the ide shell cannot detect the cf card(cannot see "hitach ****").should i change some setting in my uclinux kernel?

I am inclined to think this is a core problem. Can you access CF through Altera's standalone ide utilities?
