hello,
i have a question about the cyclon III starter board. is there a possibility to supply the board with power supply voltage from the hsmc interface? so i don't have to use the external power supply. when it should be possible, do i have to connect the 12V and 3,3V pins from the hsmc with the corresponding voltage or is it sufficient to connect only the 3,3V?(i don't think that this will work:-) ) thanks for information kind regardsLink Copied

Yes, the 12V net must be supplied to power the board completely. The 12V at HSMC connector is identical to SMPS input voltage, HSMC 12V pins are specified with 20A total current, the only question in doubt is the on board wiring of the 12V net, but I would expect a plane here. So your idea should work.
